Last year I made a rabbit shaped cake for Tegan’s birthday so I was delighted when her Mum came back to me this year and asked if I’d make another cake for her. This time Tegan wanted a cake in the shape of her favourite toy – Billy The Bear! I was sent a photo to copy so I hope I did a decent job of making it look similar!

So here’s Billy in all his glory! I used a teddy shaped cake tin to bake it in but had to do a little shaping afterwards. Don’t tell Billy (or Tegan) but I had to chop his ears off to make them into his arms! Shhhh…. Anyway, he didn’t need ears – he’s got his hood up 🙂 The jacket was made out of chocolate sugar paste and the fur is piped buttercream.
