Smartbox offer a whole range of interesting gift experiences ranging from culinary gifts to sporting gifts, wellbeing gifts to gifts for couples and much more. So I was very excited when they asked if I’d like to review one of their Family Days Out gift Experiences, which retails at £39.95. We are always looking for new and interesting things to do with our weekends and school holidays so this presented us with the perfect opportunity to try something a bit different.
There are 85 different family day out activities to choose from all over the United Kingdom including quad biking, pottery making, archery, photography sessions, theme park visits and trips to nature reserves – so you’re pretty much guaranteed to find something you like the sound of and it’s a great gift idea for the family who has everything!
You can order the Smartbox of your choice online, which is then posted to you. Inside the box there is a brochure showing the experiences available, divided into sections according to where in the country they are. Each activity also gives you the main info you need to know such as duration, available dates, how many people can take part in the acvity, the location and some helpful suggestions of where to stay or eat in the local area. You can also search online for the different activities, although I found it tricky sometimes to find the category I wanted straight away.
There are plenty of activities around the country and even though there aren’t many on my immediate area, there are several that I wouldn’t mind travelling to given that the idea is to have a day out as a family. Most experiences are for 2-4 people – fine for us as a family of 4 but potentially a problem if you have a larger family?
The booking process is simple – once you have your Smartbox you simply choose your experience, phone the experience provider direct, quote your voucher number then fill in the details on the voucher and take it with you to your experience. I think we have decided to go to one of the Fudge Kitchen experiences, after all, how could I resist something food related? I shall be back with a blog post about the experience once we’ve been.
This is a review post – I was sent a free Smartbox to try.
