Sometimes when life gets busy or I’m just too lazy to cook, we like to have a takeaway and often pizza is top of our list. As a house of pizza lovers, we were very pleased when we were asked if we’d like to try the Chicago Town Takeaway Limited Edition X Factor Pizza. The children chose the pepperoni one, which is topped with BBQ sauce, 2 types of pepperoni, red onion, spicy beef and mozzarella.
The pizza, which was £3.79, is much cheaper than most Takeaway pizzas and tasted just as good. There was plenty of topping and the fresh dough base was delicious. We especially enjoyed the crust, which was filled with BBQ sauce – we all know those crusts can be a bit boring otherwise! I was worried that the pizza may be a bit spicy for the children, but I was pleasantly surprised that they wolfed it down and didn’t mention that it was too spicy at all.
Having only skimmed the instructions (naughty, naughty) it wasn’t until after I’d manhandled my pizza onto the oven shelf that I discovered that it comes with its own tray that you just put straight into the oven. I really should learn to read instructions properly! As this is a limited edition pizza, you also get a free music download with every pack and the opportunity to win lots of other prizes. Check out the Chicago Town Facebook page or website for more details.
Grace has made a little video telling you a bit about the pizza, how we cooked it and most importantly, how it tasted!
