I can’t quite believe it – I’ve written a book! It’s in the shops and on Amazon and people are buying it!

Those of you who follow me on twitter will probably know by now that last year I was approached by Crimson Publishing, who had been reading my blog and asked if I’d be interested in writing this title for them. I’d not really considered writing a book before. I’m not known as the ‘wordy’ one in my family – both my Dad and sister are the ones who enjoy and are good at writing. But I submitted a piece of writing along with my (lack of) writing experience and less than a year later, here it is!

It was a great experience and I have now well and truly got the writing bug. I’m already planning what other books I could write and might start putting together some ideas to see whether they might be of interest to anyone. Fingers crossed as I’d love to write another book.

The Baking Pocket Bible is packed full of recipes, facts, trivia and useful hints and tips. The book is divided into chapters that cover all aspects of baking including a brief history of baking, recipes for bread, cakes, cookies, pastries, decoration ideas, baking for celebrations, Christmas recipes and troubleshooting when things don’t quite go to plan.

I’ve already had one glowing review on Amazon and it’s not even from a member of my family! So if you buy the book, would you mind leaving a review for me? I hope those of you who have bought it or are planning on buying it enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Thanks to everyone who has offered support and has tweeted me about the book – you’re all fab.

Happy Baking, x
